I was just searching Google images & i can across one of your photos, so i decided to look into what happened. What a terrible thing to happen to such a young boy. a few months ago, one of my friend got into a skiing accident and was flown to harborview hospital and stayed at ICU for 2 weeks. my other friend got hit by two cars, who also went to ICU in harborview. going through this, I never thought anybody would have it worse than them until I came across jake. In the beginning, his face looked fine in the 2009 komo news, but when i saw the news that aired 4 years before, i was devastated. how can a simple accident bring so much grief to a family.... i really hope jake can recover his face fully. and till then, may god bless your family.

Jake, I thought of you today. We used to live in Ferndale but moved to North Carolina in 2007. I remember how completely scary it was the day that you got sick. The entire community prayed and hoped for your recovery and you didn't even know it! You have touched MANY hearts with your bravery!! May God continue to bless you and your family real good!
